Details for Run Gibraltar from HDD
Property | Value |
Name | Run Gibraltar from HDD |
Description | This script prepares a IDE HDD for installing Gibraltar onto it. Start Gibraltar from CD. Copy the script to a floppy disk or an USB stick and execute it at the Gibraltar box. Be careful - all data on the HDD will be deleted. The script creates the partitions and formats them. Afterwards it copies the files to HDD and configures the boot loader. After rebooting you have to adapt the BIOS to start from HDD instead of CD-Rom. We do not recommend to run Gibraltar from HDD as there are several disadvantages compared with starting from CD (base is not changeable on CD, easy updates, easy recovery at new hardware, ...).We do not provide any support in installing and updating Gibraltar to HDD. |
